Sussex Community Corrections Center is a level IV facility that is comprised of the Sussex Work Release Center and the Sussex Violation of Probation Center. They can house up to 552 male inmates.
The purpose of the work release center part is to transition inmates back into society over several months by establishing them into work. During full time employment, work release inmates are required to pay $25 each week for room and board. Additionally, inmates will pay $25 towards outstanding court debts.
The Sussex Violation of Probation Center has the capacity to house 250 male and female inmates. This facility has a highly regimented behavioral modification program that requires inmates rise at 5:00am and do community service or work within the institution.
