Inmates incarcerated in Maryland are allowed to make outgoing calls only. Maryland Department of Corrections utilizes GTL ConnectNetwork as their pre-paid inmate phone provider. Some important things to know about this service:
- Their are two types of accounts, AdvancePay and Pin Debit Accounts
- An AdvancePay Account allows you to fund a telephone account in which the inmate can only utilize the funds to call your number.
- A Pin Debit Account lets the inmate fund and call any phone number the facility allows.
- You can sign up and deposit funds to either of these accounts online, or download the mobile app for Android, and iphone.
- At no time can an inmate receive incoming calls.
- All calls (except privileged calls) are recorded.
- Residents of Maryland DOC facilities are allowed ten phone numbers on their call list.
