Bolduc Correctional Facility is a minimum security prison that houses up to 221 adult males. The facility is located on over 200 acres of farm and forest in Warren Maine. The main purpose of this institution is to prepare offenders for reintegration, because of this specialization, inmates incarcerated here have less than three years left on their sentence. Bolduc Correctional Facility is comprised of two, two story housing units.
Work opportunities provided at Bolduc Correctional Facility include working in a license plate factory that produces the majority of plates in Maine, and working on the farm cultivating vegetables and caring for the various fruiting trees. These foods are grown for consumption at various DOC facilities. In addition to working with plants on the farm, inmates can care for livestock that includes farm animals rescued from abuse situations. Vocational training is provided in welding, animal training, cooking, custodial, and automotive mechanics.
