Eastern Correctional Institution

Maryland Department of Corrections requires all visitors have an approved visiting application on file prior to attending a visiting session.  Start the process by doing the following:

• Complete a Maryland Visitors Application. You must request this from the inmate, Maryland DOC does not make this available online.
• Complete, print, sign and submit the application back to the inmate.
• It will be up to the inmate to inform you of your visitation status, approved or denied.
• Once you are approved, you can schedule to visit your loved one (see below).

Eastern Correctional Institution Visiting Hours:
Visits are by scheduled appointment only, up to 7 days in advance, scheduling closes three days before the visit.

Important things to remember when visiting an inmate at Eastern Correctional Institution:

• A valid government issued photo ID is required in order to visit.
• Inmates are allowed two in person visits per week (week begins on Tuesday ends on Monday).
• A maximum of five visitors per visit (No more than three adults and three children).
• Visits are a maximum of 60 minutes in duration, but may be shortened if the visiting room becomes crowded.
• General population inmates have two hour visits, space permitting.  Visits can be shortened to accommodate an influx of visitors.
• Your visit will terminate if you need to use the restroom, be sure to use it before your visit (this includes children).
