Goose Creek is a state of the art facility and implementing many new procedures. One of the most interesting rules this facility has instituted is that all mail is photo-copied, the original piece of mail is then destroyed and the copy is sent to the inmate. This is to help prevent illegal substances from being mailed in disguised a s paper with writing on it. Greeting cards do not get delivered to the inmates or destroyed, instead they are placed in the inmate's personal property. Photos are still received by inmates but are first screened for drugs.
