Jessup Correctional Institution

Maryland Department of Corrections requires all visitors have an approved visiting application on file prior to attending a visiting session.  Start the process by doing the following:

• Complete a Maryland Visitors Application. You must request this from the inmate, Maryland DOC does not make this available online.
• Complete, print, sign and submit the application back to the inmate.
• It will be up to the inmate to inform you of your visitation status, approved or denied.
• Once you are approved, you can schedule to visit your loved one (see below).

Jessup Correctional Institution Visiting Hours:
Visits are by scheduled appointment only, up to 7 days in advance, scheduling closes three days before the visit.

In-Person Visits:
Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays
10:00am-1:00pm
5:00pm-7:00pm
Visits are 45 minutes in duration

Video Visits:
Everyday
9:00am-2:00pm
4:40pm-9:00pm
Video visits are 15 minutes in duration

Important things to remember when visiting an inmate at Jessup Correctional Institution:

• A valid government issued photo ID is required in order to visit.
• Inmates are allowed a single in person visit and a single video visit each week.
• A maximum of two adult visitors or one adult visitor and two children are allowed.
• Minors 15 and older must have identification.
• Your visit will terminate if you need to use the restroom, be sure to use it before your visit (this includes children).
