Description of Facility

Luther Luckett Correctional Complex opened in 1981, and houses up to 1,200 male inmates. Residents are of mixed custody levels, housing minimum, medium and maximum security offenders. The facility is comprised of seven housing units, six multiple occupancy units, and one single cell housing unit. This facility is named after a department of corrections employee. Luther Luckett Correctional Complex shares the facility grounds with the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center.

During their incarceration inmates have access to educational and vocational programs that teach skills like masonry, welding, automotive technology, collision repair, IC3 and Microsoft certification.
