Maryland Correctional Training Center

Maryland Department of Corrections requires all visitors have an approved visiting application on file prior to attending a visiting session.  Start the process by doing the following:

• Complete a Maryland Visitors Application. You must request this from the inmate, Maryland DOC does not make this available online.
• Complete, print, sign and submit the application back to the inmate.
• It will be up to the inmate to inform you of your visitation status, approved or denied.
• Once you are approved, you can schedule to visit your loved one (see below).

Maryland Correctional Training Center Visiting Hours:
Visits are by scheduled appointment only, up to 7 days in advance, scheduling closes three days before the visit.
The inmate must schedule the visit.  Visits are on a rotating schedule.

Visits occur on an odd/even schedule determined by the last digit of the inmate's ID number.  Even ID numbers can have visits on even numbered days, odd ID numbers can have visits on odd numbered days.

In-person visitation for Maryland Correctional Training Center Main Compound:
Saturdays and Sundays
8:30am-9:30am (registration starts at 8:15am)
10:00am-11:00am (registration starts at 9:45am)
12:00pm-1:00pm (registration starts at 11:45pm)
1:30pm-2:30pm (registration starts at 1:15pm)
Visits are one hour in duration, space permitting

Visits are 45 minutes in duration

In-Person visitation for Emergency Housing Unit

Important things to remember when visiting an inmate at Maryland Correctional Training Center:

• A valid government issued photo ID is required in order to visit.
• Inmates are allowed two in person visits per week.
• A maximum of three visitors per visit
• Visitors 18 and older are fingerprinted using Web ID/Fast ID.
• This facility rotates visits between units, and requires a scheduled appointment to visit.
• Your visit will terminate if you need to use the restroom, be sure to use it before your visit (this includes children).

Maryland Video Visitation
Video visitation is provided through Microsoft Teams. In order to participate in video visitation you must fill out a video visitation acknowledgement form. This is a free service available on android and iphone.

Virtual visits for general population inmates occur Monday through Friday 4:30pm-10:30pm by appointment only. Video visits for general population inmates last 30 minutes.  

Restrictive housing units have virtual visitation by appointment only Monday through Saturday from 4:30pm-11:30pm, duration is 30 minutes.

Inmates at the Harold E. Donnell building and the HED/EHU have virtual visitation by scheduled appointment only. The inmate must schedule the visit. Visits are 30 minutes in duration and occur on:
Mondays: 8:30am-3:30pm (EHU)
Tuesdays: 5:45pm-10:00pm (HED)
Wednesdays: 8:30am-3:30pm (EHU)
Thursdays: 8:30am-3:30pm (HED)
Fridays: 5:45pm-10:00pm (EHU)
