Point MacKenzie Correctional Farm houses over 100 male offenders and is one of the most coveted facilities to be assigned to. Inmates must be a low/minimum custody offender to be sent here. Offenders help to operate a farm that provides an assortment of products to correctional facilities across Alaska.
Farming is one of the main staples of this institution. Offenders are given vocational training in the growing and cultivation of certain crops. Inmates are also trained to work with pigs, cows, turkey and chickens. Other vocational opportunities exist to earn a GED, and in computer and mechanical courses.

Visits are approximately one hour in length. All visitors must be on the inmates approved visitation list prior to visiting (a process that usually only takes a few days). You are required to pass through a security check upon entering the facility for visitation, and must have a valid government issued photo ID.
