Roxbury Correctional Institution

Maryland Department of Corrections requires all visitors have an approved visiting application on file prior to attending a visiting session.  Start the process by doing the following:

• Complete a Maryland Visitors Application. You must request this from the inmate, Maryland DOC does not make this available online.
• Complete, print, sign and submit the application back to the inmate.
• It will be up to the inmate to inform you of your visitation status, approved or denied.
• Once you are approved, you can schedule to visit your loved one (see below).

Roxbury Correctional Institution Visiting Hours:
Visits are by scheduled appointment only, up to 7 days in advance, scheduling closes three days before the visit.

Visits are conducted on an odd/even schedule determined by the last digit of the inmate's ID number.  Even ID numbers can have visits on even numbered days, odd ID numbers can have visits on odd numbered days.

General Population Inmates:
Saturday and Sunday
8:00am-12:00pm (processing ends at 11:30am)

Protective Custody Inmates:
Saturdays and Sundays
12:30pm-1:30pm

Important things to remember when visiting an inmate at Roxbury Correctional Institution:

• A valid government issued photo ID is required in order to visit.
• Inmates in general population are allowed two in person visits per week.
• Inmates in segregation are allowed one visit per week.
• A maximum of three adult visitors and three minors per visit is allowed.
• Visits are one hour in duration
• This facility utilizes an odd/even visiting schedule based on the day of the month and the last digit of the inmates ID number. Inmates with odd number have visits on odd days, even numbers have visits on even days.
• Your visit will terminate if you need to use the restroom, be sure to use it before your visit (this includes children).
• You are allowed a brief embrace at the end of a visit, however correctional staff must visually inspect the visitors open hands before the embrace.

Maryland Video Visitation
Video visitation is provided through Microsoft Teams. In order to participate in video visitation you must fill out a video visitation acknowledgement form. This is a free service available on android and iphone. Video visits occur on weekdays only.
