Texarkana Regional Correction Center is a minimum security institution located in Arkansas. It offers inmates the opportunity for work release. Work release allows the inmate to work during the day in a job within the surrounding community, and return to the facility at the end of the work day.
Not all offenders will qualify for work release, and they must meet certain requirements such as being a Class I-A inmate and no more than 42 months away from their parole eligibility date or, from their release date.
Inmates at this facility can receive substance abuse education and adult basic education as well as earn their GED. Only 128 inmates can be at this facility, and most inmates will not meet the requirements for work release, they must be non-violent offenders.
