Boston Pre-Release Center

In order to visit an inmate in Massachusetts you must do the following:

• First, request the inmate add you to their prospective visitors list.
• Next, complete a Massachusetts inmate visitors application. The application is also available in Spanish.
• Complete and sign the form, then mail the application back to the facility your inmate is located in.
• You will be notified of the status of your application, approved or denied.
• Once approved you should familiarize yourself with the rules/dress code and visiting procedures.
• When attending a visit, you must provide a valid government issued photo identification such as a driver's license or passport.

Tuesday:

Wednesday:
1:00pm-4:00pm

Thursday and Friday:
6:00pm-9:00pm

Saturday:
1:00pm-4:00pm
6:00pm-9:00pm

Important things to remember when visiting an inmate at Boston Pre-Release Center:

• A maximum of four visitors per visit is permitted (children do not count).
• Processing of visitors stops between 2:45pm-3:15pm.
• No limit on the number of weekly visits.
• You are allowed the following items but must declare them to the processing officer:
  • Up to $10 to use in the vending machines
  • A vehicle or locker key
  • A handkerchief
  • Hearing aids and prescription eyewear
  • If visiting with a baby you may bring two plastic bottles with milk, water, juice, or formula, a single empty sippy cup, two diapers and wipes in a clear plastic bag, a single blanket, a pacifier, two plastic sealed baby foods, a single bib, and a plastic spoon.
• You and your vehicle may be searched, weapons are prohibited from being on facility grounds including in your vehicle.
• No pets are allowed, even if left in your car.
• Disruptive behavior will result in termination of visit.
• Review the entire visiting procedures and rules.
