Calhoun Correctional Institution is a mixed security prison housing close, medium minimum and community level inmate. It has the capacity to house 1,585 male adult inmates. The facility itself is comprised of the main institution and the Calhoun Work Camp, which is temporarily closed, but can normally house 285 inmates.
