Desoto Correctional Institution is classified as a level 5 prison housing inmates of close, medium, minimum, and community security levels. This facility is comprised of six open bay housing units (Dorms, A, B, C, D, E, and M), and three secure cell housing units (Dorms F, G, and H). Select inmates are assigned work detail at the facility and can earn a wage. The current maximum capacity of Desoto Correctional Institution is 1,453 male inmates.
