Description of Facility

Dooly State Prison is a medium security prison located in Unadilla Georgia. It has the capacity to house 1,702 male inmates. Unique to this facility is a farm operation, in which residents can grow and harvest a wide variety of vegetables that are used throughout the state at various facilities. Dooly State Prison is comprised of nine housing units that include triple bunked cells, double bunked cells, and open bay dormitory. While incarcerated residents can receive vocational training in clerical work, electrical work, painting, food services, sanitation/recycling, plumbing, and automotive mechanics. Therapeutic programs include sex offender treatment, matrix recover skills, as well as individual and group therapy sessions.

Georgia Department of Corrections requires all visitors complete a visitors application and be approved before visiting. Start by doing the following:

All visitors regardless of age must fill out a visitors application.
You must gather and submit a copy of all the documents required in the application, this includes a valid government issued photo ID.
The application must be completed, signed and notarized.
Familiarize yourself with the Georgia Inmate Visitation Policy and Rules to know what is expected from all visitors.
