Hill Correctional Center opened in 1986, and is a medium security prison that can house up to 1,812 male inmates. Offenders are housed in four units, with an additional unit for receiving and orientation for inmates, a segregation unit and an infirmary unit.
Inmates can take vocational courses for career technologies and custodial maintenance. Hill Correctional Center also operates correctional industries that allows the inmate to earn a wage working in milk, juice and meat production.
