MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution is one of the largest correctional facilities in New England. It is a level 4 and 5 security prison located in Suffield Connecticut that houses maximum security male inmates. Currently this facility can house up to 2,131 offenders and is divided into two buildings the Walker building and the MacDougall building.
Programs at MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution include adult basic education, GED and special education courses, as well as vocational training in micro-computers, dental, commercial cleaning, electronic repair and maintenance. Substance abuse treatment, parenting courses, a beyond fear course, and sex offender treatment is all available to inmates at this facility.
