The Moore Haven Correctional Facility and Reentry Center opened in July 1995 under the operation of The Geo Group, Inc., in partnership with the Florida Department of Corrections. Currently, the facility houses 985 medium-custody inmates.
The facility comprises four inmate housing buildings, including two multi-housing cell-blocks and two open bay dorms, each with five housing units. Each unit features its own dining area and day room, totaling 21 separate housing units, with two designated for inmates aged fifty-five or older.
Moore Haven Correctional Facility has vocational programs that include environmental services, hospitality, barbering and technical support services.
