Okaloosa Correctional Institution is a level five security prison located in Crestview Florida. The facility is comprised of nine housing units. Two of these are open bay dormitories and three are multiple occupancy cells that house two inmates each.
Dormitories A and B are single story buildings with dormitory style beds that house medium or minimum custody inmates. These inmates are utilized as a work force within the facility. Dormitories C and D are butterfly style two story buildings that contain four quads, each with two man cells.
Okaloosa Correctional Institution can house up to 894 adult male offenders. Vocational programs include construction technology (carpentry and plumbing), and training as a heavy equipment operator. Additional courses include a 100 hour transition program to prepare for release, an anger and stress management course, parenting classes, and the truth project.
