Osborn Correctional Institution is a medium security institution that opened in 1963 under it's original name Connecticut Correctional Institution Somers. In 1994 it was renamed Osborn Correctional Institution after the Osborn Prison Farm which was established sometime in the 1930's. Currently this facility has the capacity to house 1,505 inmates.
Osborn Correctional Institution is divided into 17 housing units. Offenders can work in a print shop, or manufacturing clothing and mattresses.
