Description of Facility

Pondville Correctional Center is a minimum security pre-release center that houses up to 206 male offenders. Located in Norfolk Massachusetts, Pondville Correctional Center was constructed in 1975 by inmates, and over the years has undergone various renovations and expansions. During their incarceration residents are able to work on community service projects, and some who qualify are able to participate in work release, earning a wage in job positions in the surrounding community. Housing at Pondville Correctional Center is comprised of seven units with double occupancy rooms.

Visiting Hours & Information

In order to visit an inmate in Massachusetts you must do the following:

  • First, request the inmate add you to their prospective visitors list.
  • Next, complete a Massachusetts inmate visitors application. The application is also available in Spanish.
  • Complete and sign the form, then mail the application back to the facility your inmate is located in.
  • You will be notified of the status of your application, approved or denied.
  • Once approved you should familiarize yourself with the rules/dress code.
  • When attending a visit, you must provide a valid government issued photo identification such as a driver's license or passport.

Pondville Correctional Center Visiting Hours:

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday:
6:00pm-9:00pm

Units 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3 Visiting Hours:
Sunday:
6:00pm-9:00pm
Saturday:
9:00am-12:00pm

Units 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, and 2-4 Visiting Hours:
Sunday:
1:00pm-4:00pm
Saturday:
6:00pm-9:00pm

Important things to remember when visiting an inmate at Pondville Correctional Center:

  •  
  • Visitors can bring up to $20 in cash to exchange for a debit card to use the vending machines. Debit cards must be purchased before entering the visiting room. You must bring a one dollar bill to purchase the card with.
  • Visitors and their vehicle may be searched, weapons are prohibited from being on facility grounds including in your vehicle.
