Description of Facility

Riverbend Correctional Facility opened in 2011 and is a medium security private prison located in Milledgeville Georgia. The facility is comprised of six housing units with the ability to house 1,588 male offenders. Inmates are housed in two man cell dormitory style. While incarcerated, residents can participate in maintaining facility grounds, computer training, various building trades, and custodial work.

Georgia Department of Corrections requires all visitors complete a visitors application and be approved before visiting. Start by doing the following:

All visitors regardless of age must fill out a visitors application.
You must gather and submit a copy of all the documents required in the application, this includes a valid government issued photo ID.
The application must be completed, signed and notarized.
