Description of Facility

Rogers State Prison opened in 1983 and is a medium security prison situated in Reidsville Georgia. Located near Georgia State Prison, Rogers State Prison houses medium and minimum custody levels and currently can house a maximum of 1,391 adult male. A large farming operation is located on site, and is worked utilizing prison labor to produce over 9000 meals daily to feed residents of both Rogers and Georgia State Prisons. Residents can also work in a beef cattle operation, in laundry, facility maintenance, and providing labor for local government agencies such as the Department of Transportation. Rogers State Prison is comprised of six general population buildings, each with four dormitories to house inmates in an open dormitory setting.

Visiting Hours & Information

Georgia Department of Corrections requires all visitors complete a visitors application and be approved before visiting.  Start by doing the following:

  • All visitors regardless of age must fill out a visitors application.
  • You must gather and submit a copy of all the documents required in the application, this includes a valid government issued photo ID.
  • The application must be completed, signed and notarized.
  • Familiarize yourself with the Georgia Inmate Visitation Policy and Rules to know what is expected from all visitors.
  • Once your visitors application is approved, you can Schedule a Visit with an Inmate in Georgia.
  • If something happens and you can no longer make the scheduled visit you can cancel a visit here.

Saturdays, Sundays, and State Holidays
9:00am-3:00pm
By Appointment Only

Protective Custody Inmates:
Saturdays, Sundays, and State Holidays
8:00am-9:00am
By Appointment Only

Arrive at the facility a maximum of 15 minutes before your scheduled visit time.

Visitors are searched before entering into visitation.  If you have a cell phone, drugs, or tobacco on you, you will be arrested.
