Santa Rosa Correctional Institution is a mixed custody prison that houses close, minimum, medium, and community custody inmates. The facility is comprised of the main unit, the annex, and the work camp. The main unit has eight dormitories, two open bay dorms A and H, and six T-style dorms B, C, D, E, F, and G dorms. The Santa Rosa Annex contains four secure housing units, and four open bay style dormitories. The Work camp is comprised of three T style dorms, and provides an inmate labor force to all the units.
The capacity of Santa Rosa Correctional Institution is 1,614 male inmates. While incarcerated inmates can participate in the farm worker and textile repair worker vocational programs.
