Sierra Conservation Center is a mixed custody facility that houses a maximum of 5,147 male inmates. The main prison is comprised of Facilities A, B, and C. The main purpose of this facility is to screen qualified inmates for fire camp placement.
Inmates can receive vocational training in Automotive repair, welding, masonry, computers, and carpentry. In addition to working on fire crews, inmates can work in a textile plant sewing for the Prison Industry Authority.

You must have an approved visitors application on file before you can attend a visit. You must request from the inmate CDCR Form 106. This is the California Visiting Questionnaire form and it must be signed by the inmate before you can fill it out and send it back to the facility at the inmate mailing address and add: "Attention: Visiting".
