Part of the Apalachee Correctional Institution, East Unit is a level 5 custody level that includes close, medium and minimum custody offenders. East Unit is comprised of open bay dormitory housing units (K, M, N, O, and P Dorms) and three secure cell housing units (Q, R, and Y Dorms).
Apalachee Correctional Institution East provides vocational training in cabinetmaking, and academic courses in adult basic education, literacy, and gives inmates the ability to earn a GED. Additional programs in anger management, anger resolution, experiencing God, and certifications in Servesafe IN2Work program are available.
